How Toilets and Sanitary Pads Came to Save the World: Knowing Inclusive Innovation through Science and the Marketplace

On the 26th of October 2022, EOAR hosted Prof Shobita Parthasarathy from the University of Michigan. During her presentation, Shobita talked about the consequences of inclusive innovation initiatives, specifically in relation to menstrual hygiene management and open defecation in India. She also spoke about the way in which inclusive innovation shapes public problems and provided a critique of the market approach to innovation policy.
